With two French records in the series and the semi-finals, the swimmer, born in New Caledonia, favorite for this final with the 2nd best world time of the year, won his 4th medal in the long-course world championships after silver in the 100m freestyle and bronze in the 50m in 2022 and bronze again in the 4x100m relay in 2019.
